2025 TERMS & CONDITIONS

All parents and students of Dance Nation Academy must adhere to the 2025 terms and conditions outlined in this contract. If the contract is broken, it will be void, and the student will be asked to leave the studio, Dance Nation Academy.
EXPECTATIONS

All enrolled students must commit to attending all concert rehearsals at the theatre, including emergency rehearsals and all scheduled performances.
All fees, including term and costume fees, must be paid by the due date.
Students must wear the DNA uniform to class and the compulsory shoes for their specific genre.
Parents are expected to read all emails and posts from our app, “Audiri”, to stay up-to-date with studio matters and information.

ENROLMENT

By submitting your enrolment form via our website, you agree to the Terms & Conditions as outlined in the website waiver.
All members must download the “Audiri” app and join our Facebook community prior to starting classes.
No Change of Mind Policy: You must commit for a full term in the classes you have enrolled in. No refunds or credits will be given.
Students under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian sign the documents on their behalf.
If a student is absent, please complete an absentee form via the “Audiri” app.
100% commitment and attendance are expected from all students upon enrolment.
Students are required to arrive five minutes before their class commences.
Students under 18 must be collected on time by a parent/guardian. Students cannot wait outside the studio after class and must be collected from inside the studio.
Parents must notify staff in advance if they will be late to pick up their child.
Make-up classes are not offered by Dance Nation Academy under normal circumstances. However, the Academy Director may grant exceptions at their sole discretion, depending on the specific situation.
While enrolled with Dance Nation Academy:
Enrolling in other studios or classes is prohibited.
External workshops must be approved by the Director.
Permission must be obtained before auditioning for external programs or companies.
No students are to compete in competitions during the month of the concert.

SOCIAL MEDIA

For communication with Dance Nation Academy staff, email admin@dancenationacademy.com or phone/text 0421 792 906.
Do not contact staff through personal devices or social media for DNA matters. Breaching this protocol may result in the student being asked to leave.
The Dance Nation Academy Facebook page is a compulsory platform for sharing class footage for student practice. Personal concerns or feedback should be emailed to admin@dancenationacademy.com. Inappropriate comments on the page will be deleted.
For safety, avoid communicating with teachers directly via social media.
Students are encouraged to tag Dance Nation Academy on Instagram and TikTok: @dancenationacademy with the hashtag #teamdna.

CONCERT

Attendance at all concerts and rehearsals (including emergency rehearsals) is mandatory for all students.
Students absent from any rehearsals will not be allowed to participate in the annual concert.
Film and flash photography are prohibited during the concert.
Parents are responsible for purchasing required undergarments for the concert (e.g., dance tights, runners). Details will be emailed closer to the event.
Outstanding account balances must be cleared before theatre rehearsals. Otherwise, students will not be allowed to participate.
Parents/guardians of students in more than two routines must assist backstage for at least one night.
Backstage access is restricted to designated helpers only.
Address concerns or feedback to staff directly. Do not confront other parents or students.
Delivery food services are not permitted at the theatre.
All students under 18 must be signed in and out by a parent/guardian.

UNIFORM

Students must wear the required uniform and appropriate shoes for each class.
Tiny Tots in acrobatics must purchase the junior school uniform.
Ballet students (Intermediate age group and above) must adhere to grooming requirements:
Black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes (canvas shoes are not allowed).
Ballet bun is compulsory.
Awaiting stock? Students must wear black dance-appropriate attire.
Uniforms and stock are available at the Dance Nation Academy shop or Sage Dance Wear.

FEES

Payment is due within 14 days of receiving the invoice.
Late payments incur a $5 daily late fee (weekends included).
Accepted payment methods:
Visa/Mastercard (2% surcharge)
Cash or bank transfer (send receipt to accounts@dancenationacademy.com)
Use the invoice number as the payment description.
Payments must be made by one family member/guardian.
Outstanding balances from prior terms or years must be cleared before classes commence.
Holding Fee: $5 per class per week for absences exceeding three weeks (e.g., holidays, injury). Approval from the Director is required.
We do not offer credits for missed or rescheduled classes.

PAYMENT PLANS

Payment plans are available through Ezi Debit for term fees only.
Plans must be completed within five weeks. Failed plans (3 missed payments) will be voided, and the remaining balance must be paid in full within 7 days.
Payment plan fees:
Setup fee: $5.50
Weekly transfer: $1.20
Visa/Mastercard surcharge: 2.5%
Failed payment fee: $21.90

ADDITIONAL EXPENSES

Concert footage: Every family must purchase one copy.
Annual app access fee.
Costume costs range from $60–$110.
Additional concert-related expenses (e.g., tights, undergarments, shoes) must be purchased by parents.

SAFETY & STUDIO REGULATIONS

Parents may view the last 15 minutes of classes (except Tiny Tots and Sub Juniors).
The studio is a nut-free zone.
Mobile phones are prohibited during class.
DNA enforces a zero-tolerance policy for bullying.

REFUNDS

Refunds are not available for:

Dance fees
Costumes
Concert tickets
Merchandise
Make up lessons

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lessons must be paid upfront or via a 5-week Ezi Debit plan.
Students may cancel up to two lessons per term with prior notice.

COVID-19 POLICY

In case of government restrictions, classes will migrate to Zoom (except Acrobatics).

MEDIA RELEASE

Dance Nation Academy may use student names/images for promotional purposes unless explicitly denied.

Please advice staff if we do not have permission to use images of students for promotional material.
I hereby acknowledge that with any physical activity there is a risk of personal injury. Dance Nation Academy
teachers and staff members are not responsible or liable for any injury/incident that may occur on our
premises or travelling to and from Dance Nation Academy.
